5th Annual Chili Cook-Off: A Hot Tasty Chili Time

post5812It was the perfect blend of flavor and heat! Each and every bite was better than the last. About 200 friends and supporters came out in force on Friday night, Nov. 22, 2024, to the VFW #5812 in Pueblo West. It was a Hot Tasty Chili Time for sure!

There was green chili, red chili, cornbread, sweet treats, soda pop and so much more!

The competition was fierce and here are the results from the contest:

Red Chili:
1. Tracy *** 1ST PLACE
2. Chris Tristano *** 2ND PLACE
3. Molly Seggerman **** 3RD PLACE

Green:
1. Cody McCormick 1ST PLACE
2. Ken Crook **** 2ND PLACE
3. Julian **** 3RD PLACE

The real winners were those who will receive all of the monies made from the event last night - the St. Baldrick's Foundation. All canned goods and toys were donated to the VFW Women's Auxiliary for veterans in need and their families.

And, these organizations donated food and drinks to make sure this was a huge success:
Daylight Donuts, Olive Garden and Blue Line Operations.

Much thanks to the Women's Auxiliary and other volunteers who helped us set up, tear down and behind the scenes support.

Last but not least, my beautiful wife, Yolanda, with Laser Beams and Sawdust Dreams created the amazing awards the winners took home.
